Little Monarch

Please enjoy an automatic introductory 20% off the Little Monarch pattern through Sunday, May 9, in my web store, Ravelry or Payhip.

When I released the adult Monarch pattern earlier this year, I received a flood of requests for a children’s version of the design. I immediately set to work.

The sample below, modeled by my grand niece-in-law Willow, features The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Soka’pii yarn, which is a light fingering single ply with a subtle thick and thin texture. The colorways shown are York (main color) and Elk Antler (contrast color). This sample also features beads for the specks in the butterfly wings, but a third color can be used instead, or the specks can be omitted and simply worked in the main color.

Willow is wearing the 12-18 month size of the Little Monarch pattern.

Little Monarch is available in fifteen children’s sizes ranging from Preemie to 10 years. All sizing and yardage info can be found in the pattern pages on my web store, Ravelry and Payhip.

The sample below was knit by Sara Aviles and uses some La Bien Aimee Merino Singles from my stash.

Gianna is wearing the 8-year size of the Little Monarch pattern.

I really enjoyed working on a children’s pattern, for a change. Don’t worry–I will definitely be creating more!

P.S. Look for a pumpkin themed pullover pattern for children this fall.
